The Tanzania Network for Vocational and Technical Education and Training (TANTVET) is a national, non-profit professional network established 2025 and registrar as an NGO under the NGOs Act No.24, 2002. The main aim is to bring together stakeholders involved in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Tanzania. The Network was formed in response to the growing need for coordination, collaboration, and advocacy within the TVET ecosystem, in line with national development priorities and labour market demands.
TANTVET serves as a platform for dialogue, partnership, and collective action among TVET institutions, government agencies, industry players, professional bodies, development partners, trainers, and trainees. The Network operates in alignment with Tanzania’s development frameworks, including Vision 2050, the TVET Development Strategy, and sectoral skills development initiatives.

Objectives
Promote TVET as a respected and first-choice career option through national awareness, skills competitions, success stories, and career fairs.
Enhance coordination with industries through dual training models, apprenticeships/internships, and sector advisory panels guided by labor-market needs.
Promote competency-based training and assessment, upgrade facilities and technology, and strengthen adherence to national and international standards for excellence.
Increase training opportunities and scholarships especially for marginalized and underrepresented groups to ensure fair access to quality skills and employment.
Equip trainees with entrepreneurial skills and a mindset to start and sustain enterprises that contribute to local and national economies.
Support continuous professional development, instructor certification, research collaboration, and member services for learning, innovation, and shared growth.
